Feeling rusty in auditions?  Lost your confidence in call backs?

Need a brush up or maybe you've just begun the "I want to be a star" trek.  In any case, join us for this workshop intensive where you'll do at least ten (usually 12) mock auditions in twelve hours.  Complete with feedback and instruction from the producer of over sixty commercials and films, you'll mock try out in front of camera for commercials, indie films, industrials, even the big budgets.  Then you'll watch and analyze your and classmates' approaches to each one with this master teacher and industry insider.  Students take home their tape of all 12 auditions for continued learning.

Our 'Beginning Level' course.  Taught by Lon Bumgarner, this 8-week course is a foundational study in acting and instilling your ability to achieve Objectives. (If you've never heard that term and you want to act, you need this class!) We use cameras to record your progress and to analyze what is happening in your performance.  This fosters understanding of the actors' relationship to the vehicle of film.  In addition, the basic premises of 'truthful' acting are introduced and examined, based on a combination of the Stanislavski Method and Lon’s own conglomeration of wisdom from years of directing, working in the industry and teaching.

This class is 'learning by doing'-- you will be learning and rehearsing a new script each week with your scene partner, and receiving coaching and homework in class.

NOTE: With only 8 weeks, Attendance, and the commitment to time outside of class for rehearsal during the week, is critical for your progress.  Please make sure your calendar is clear for all class days and that your schedule allows you time to rehearse with your scene partner during the week!
